Trade shows in the digital era: is it still worth participating? Salvadori is sure about it and exhibited last April at Bauma in Munich for the first time. This is one of the biggest trade show in the world for mining and construction.

In a world which is getting more and more technological it is reasonable to wonder whether it is still worth participating at trade shows, as business relations with potential customers can start also online. Even if we are in the middle of a digital era, actively exhibiting at trade shows is still a fundamental part of the strategy of a company.

For this reason, Salvadori has always considered an essential brand positioning strategy the participation at domestic trade shows such as Autopromotec, that this year will take place in May, as well as at international shows such as Reifen Essen, Automechanika and Tyrexpo Asia. If the above-mentioned shows revolve around the world of tyre repair and retreading, in the last years the company has took part in shows entirely dedicated to mining, i.e. Minexpo, SIM and Samoter.

Among the new entries of this year there is Bauma in Munich, one of the biggest fairs for mining and construction where Salvadori exhibited for the first time. This trade show boasts important figures such as 620.000 visitors from 200 countries and 3.700 exhibitors from more than 63 different nations, a record in the 65 years of history of this fair. The trade show last from 8th to 14th April at the great Munich exhibition site and saw Salvadori team took turns. Camilla and Elisa were there in the first 3 days, while Sabine and Marco were at Salvadori stand in the last 4 days of the show. On this occasion the team had the pleasure to show the brand new industrial catalogue to visitors and customers and to showcase some of the core products that the company manufactures and sells, i.e. the belt cutter, the splicing kit, adhesives and professional pliers.

After the return to Italy the evaluation is more than positive because Salvadori has strengthened the relation with some customers and at the same time has developed new business interactions. Bauma is in fact in a great exhibition site, catchy and convincing from the logistics point of view and with big outdoor and indoor sites that allow the visitors to get in touch with the newest products in the market and to deal with companies from all over the world.

In 2022 Salvadori will surely participate again at this show, perhaps with a bigger stand in order to show concretely the use of the products.
